Beat the Heat

With temperatures rising, it’s time to take some outdoor precautions to reduce the risk of heatstroke. Heatstroke frequently happens in the summer, but you can prevent it with a bit of effort and common sense. Here are some tips and tricks to keep you cool this summer. (1) Wear loose clothing in light colors and fabrics. (2) Avoid overexerting yourself during peak hours of the day when the sun is at its height. (3) Avoid caffeine and alcohol or at least make sure to increase your water intake alongside this kind of consumption. (4) When in doubt about your body’s ability to handle the heat, stay in the shade and stay hydrated.
