Double Cleanse? Yes or No?
The idea behind double cleansing is solid: Your face should be clear of makeup and other residue before applying toners, serums, and different formulas. However, be careful not to go overboard. An over-enthusiastic approach to double cleansing could harm your skin barrier function, disturbing its balance and stripping it of natural oils. How can you tell if you've gone too far? If your face feels tight after the cleansing session, you may need to dial back a little. Additionally, there's little need for repeating the process if you've chosen a well-formulated and effective cleanser, and you're massaging it into your face for at least 30 seconds and then rinsing it off well. The extra washing might give you peace of mind, but it could end up irritating your skin.
